Enter the World of ŠKODA in Frankfurt

The grandest event for motor enthusiasts in the second half of the year is here. Come take a detailed look at the ŠKODA exhibit at the Frankfurt motor show and soak in the ambiance of this great festival for all automotive fans.

15. 9. 2017 Škoda World

ŠKODA AUTO has prepared several premières for this year’s Frankfurt auto show: the first fully electric concept ŠKODA VISION E is presented in its European première and with several changes since its April debut in Shanghai. In addition, ŠKODA KAROQ celebrates its exhibition première in Frankfurt. It is the first ŠKODA model with an impressive digital instrument panel. You can walk through the entire exposition area in the following video.

Among 16 ŠKODA vehicles on display, visitors to the car show can also find new variants of the ŠKODA KODIAQ SUV, specifically the versions KODIAQ SPORTLINE and KODIAQ SCOUT. They can also explore in detail the range-topping Laurin & Klement version of the ŠKODA SUPERB, as well as the practical ŠKODA CITIGO and the compact ŠKODA FABIA.

ŠKODA offers much more in Frankfurt: there is also the ŠKODA FABIA R5 with which Pontus Tidemand won enough points at Rallye Deutschland to clinch the title as World Champion in the WRC 2 category. For fans of cutting-edge technology, a virtual reality was prepared within which visitors can experience driving the VISION E, motoring through historic Prague in a ŠKODA old-timer, or watching the Tour de France almost as if they were right there.

You can find all of this within the ŠKODA AUTO exhibit covering more than 2,350 square metres. The display’s construction took 27 days, requiring 70 tonnes of steel, 5.5 kilometres of electrical wiring, and 12.5 kilometres of LAN cables. All of this was transported to the Frankfurt exhibition grounds in 29 trucks, and a team of 98 workers carried out the assembly. To see a time-lapse video from the construction of the ŠKODA AUTO exhibition, click here:

The Frankfurt auto show is celebrating its 67th year, and from 14 to 24 September it will present almost 1,000 exhibiting companies from 39 countries across the world. In addition to ŠKODA, more than 50 other automotive manufacturers are on hand.

The entire exhibition grounds of the IAA Frankfurt auto show span almost 200,000 square metres. The event’s importance for the automotive industry is illustrated by the fact that more than 10,000 journalists from about 100 countries have registered for this event.
