Model Description

In both its liftback and estate versions, the fourth generation of the bestselling Octavia has a more emotionally charged look than its predecessors. It is also roomier and safer and comes with even more connectivity options than ever before. The luggage compartment, too, is bigger. The newly conceived interior combines great functionality and ergonomics with ample space, high-quality materials and thought-provoking design features. The Scout version, available solely as an estate, offers a more robust look and a greater sense of safety on unpaved roads. The Octavia Scout can be fitted with front- or all-wheel drive. Front-wheel drive comes with either a 1.5 TSI/110 kW or 2.0 TDI/85 kW petrol engine. The most powerful petrol and diesel engine, the 2.0 TSI/140 kW and 2.0 TDI/147 kW, is reserved for the 4×4 drive.

What makes the Scout’s design unique is its front and rear bumper with a protective silver cover, the black plastic trim for the wheel arches, sills and bumpers, the silver wing mirror covers and 18” Braga wheels.

Comfort for everyone

Comfort for everyone

The Scout’s ergonomic seats are upholstered in a black/brown Thermoflux® cover. With 4.5 times more air permeability, this material ensures that all passengers enjoy maximum comfort. The interior colour scheme is complemented by the dashboard’s partial trim with brown-stitched brown fabric and model-specific Ash Wood décor.

Off-road

Off-road

The Octavia Scout is exclusively fitted with an off-road mode for driving on unpaved roads. This function adapts the settings of the driving stability systems (ABS, ASR, ESC and others) to off-road driving. It also includes hill descent control. Drivers can set three monitored parameters of their choice on the infotainment screen (compass, altimeter, wheel angle, coolant temperature gauge, oil temperature gauge). The off-road navigation system records journeys on unmapped routes. It can then offer the option of navigating according to points en route that have been recorded in this way.

Enhanced safety

Enhanced safety

A standard feature of the Octavia Scout is the centre airbag on the inner side of the driver’s backrest. This centre airbag, the tenth to be incorporated into the Octavia Scout’s interior, is designed to protect the driver and front passenger from colliding into each other, especially if the car is hit from the side.

Head-up display

Head-up display

The optional head-up display projects important information – such as current speed, navigation instructions, detected traffic signs, and enabled driver-assistance systems – directly on to the windscreen.
