At the very location where Laurin & Klement vehicles were built before the First World War, there now stands a modern museum where you can walk through 130 years of Škoda's history. In authentic surroundings, you will trace the journey from the first Slavia bicycle to a global player in modern automobiles, seeing many fascinating exhibits along the way.
The new exhibition opens with three vehicles that marked the brand's beginnings on two and four wheels. See the Laurin & Klement Slavia bicycle from 1899, accompanied by the next evolutionary step—the L&K BZ motorcycle from 1903. Representing the beginnings of car production is the only surviving Laurin & Klement BSC car from 1908.
Various panels showcase key models that demonstrate the craftsmanship of Mladá Boleslav’s manufacturers. For instance, the 1935 Škoda 935 Dynamic recalls the era’s unique aerodynamic bodies, while the Škoda 860 highlights the brand’s ability to produce a large luxury limousine with a V8 engine—proof that driving a car can be a special event.
The exhibition contrasts prestigious designs with sporty styles, featuring the Škoda Hispano-Suiza (1928) and the popular Škoda 110 R coupé (1971), one of today's most beloved old timers.
