Rules for the
“2021 Ice Hockey World Championship” Contest
(hereinafter referred to simply as the “ contest”)
1.Contest Organizer
The contest organizer is ŠKODA AUTO a.s., a company with its registered office at tř. Václava Klementa 869, 293 01 Mladá Boleslav and the Reg. No. 00177041, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, File 332 (hereinafter referred to simply as the “organizer”).
2.Contest Rules
The topic of this document is the delimitation of the rules relating to the contest event named “2021 Ice Hockey World Championship”. This document (hereinafter referred to as “Contest Rules”) is the sole document setting the binding rules for the contest. The organizer reserves the right to change the Contest Rules.
3.Contest Length
This contest will run from 14 May 2021 until 31 July 2021 (hereinafter the “contest period”). The contest will be held via the ŠKODA Storyboard website. The winners of the contest will be selected and announced after the end of the contest period without unnecessary delay.
4. Conditions for Participation in the Contest
4.1. Any individual over the age of 18 will become a contestant upon meeting the following conditions:
4.1.1 they are legally competent;
4.1.2 they choose one ice hockey team on the ŠKODA Storyboard website, enter the prize contest and publish a photograph of themselves;
4.1.3 they fill out their name, surname, and address;
4.1.4 they participate in the contest and meet the defined contest rules (such persons are hereinafter referred to as “contestants” or “contest participants”).
5. Prizes
The set of prizes provided is: 3 vouchers for the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship (including travel and accommodation), 2 signed hockey uniforms and 5 ŠKODA AUTO promotional items (hereinafter collectively referred to as the “prizes”).
6. Conditions for Receipt of Prizes
The organizer will draw lots to select 10 winners out of the contest participants. The first three participants selected will each receive a voucher for the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championship, the fourth and fifth will receive signed hockey uniforms, and the sixth through the tenth will receive ŠKODA AUTO promotional items.
7. Contacting the Contestants; Handing Over the Prizes
The prizes will be mailed to the winning contestants’ postal addresses, or emailed as digital vouchers where appropriate.
8. Processing and Protection of Personal Data
8.1. By entering the contest, each contestant confirms that they are aware that the organizer is authorized to process their personal data so as to meet the obligations arising from these rules. The personal data being processed for the purposes of this contest are: name, surname, phone number, email address, and postal delivery address.
8.2. The personal data controller as per the General Data Protection Regulation is ŠKODA AUTO a.s., registered office: tř. Václava Klementa 869, 293 01 Mladá Boleslav, Reg. No.: 00177041, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Municipal Court in Prague, Section B, File 332.

9. Final Provisions
9.1. By participating in the contest, each contestant is expressing their consent to these rules and undertaking to fully comply with them. The contest rules and the legal relationships arising from them are governed by the legislation of the Czech Republic. Neither prizes nor contest participation can be demanded by legal proceedings. The organizer of the contest is not liable for the condition or quality of the prizes. The organizer is also not liable for any prize that is lost, undelivered, delayed, or damaged in the course of its delivery via the post or otherwise.
9.2. The organizer is not liable for direct or indirect damages in connection with participation in the contest. The organizer is not in any way liable for any risks or obligations connected with the prizes. The contest results are final, with no possibility for appeals by contestants or winners regarding the course and results of the contest.
9.3. No option exists for paying out these prizes in cash.;
9.4. The organizer reserves the right to shorten the contest, interrupt it, cancel it or change its rules. Any change of this kind will come into effect on the date of its publishing.
9.5. Persons who do not meet the conditions for contest participation or who take actions in conflict with the contest rules will not be included in the contest. Even if such a person meets some of the conditions for receiving a prize, e.g. by having provided untruthful information, they do not become winners and are not entitled to any prizes. In this situation, the relevant prize will be awarded to the next winner down the list, or as appropriate will be used for other marketing purposes. Contest participants will be excluded in any cases wherein the organizer determines or has a reasonable suspicion that fraudulent or otherwise unfair actions have been taken on the part of the participant or other persons who helped the given participant to obtain a prize.
9.6. The organizer is not liable for any technical problems that arise during the electronic transmission of data.;
9.7. The contest organizer reserves the right to make the final assessment of whether or not the defined conditions for obtaining the contest prizes have been met. Contestants who fail to meet the conditions set for being eligible to receive the prizes, even if the non-compliance is only partial or concerns minor issues, will not be entitled to receive any prizes. The organizer does not hereby take on any further obligations towards contest participants, and the participants are not entitled to anything that is not listed in these rules.
9.8.If any provisions of these Contest Rules become invalid, inapplicable or disputable as a result of a change to applicable legislation, the general legislative provision that is closest to them in its nature and purpose shall be used.
9.9.These Contest Rules are governed by and will be interpreted in accordance with the law of the Czech Republic, in particular its Civil Code.
