Model Description

In both its liftback and estate versions, the fourth generation of the bestselling Octavia has a more emotionally charged look, it is also roomier and safer and comes with even more connectivity options than ever before. The luggage compartment, too, is bigger. The newly conceived interior combines great functionality and ergonomics with ample space, high-quality materials and thought-provoking design features. The head-up display, shift-by-wire system and back-friendly ergonomic seats are technological highlights. Modern connectivity and driver-assistance systems have scaled up safety and comfort even more. The engine range spans economical petrol and diesel engines, a CNG version, a plug-in hybrid drive and mild hybrid technology.

Octavia is introducing optional full LED matrix headlights with one LED module for dipped beam and another for full beam, along with full LED rear lights with dynamic indicators.

The Octavia’s interior, generous in its roominess. The multifunction version of the steering wheel features buttons and scroll wheels that control 14 different functions. Dashboard is split into several horizontal layers.

The Octavia is the first ever Škoda to offer DSG automatic transmission controlled by a shift-by-wire system, so shifting takes place purely electronically. The DSG automatic transmission’s selector lever in the centre console is replaced by a new control module with a small switch that the driver uses to select the driving mode, along with a parking mode button.

The optional head-up display projects important information, such as current speed, navigation instructions, detected traffic signs, or active driver-assistance systems, directly on to the windscreen.

Passenger safety is enhanced not only by the up to ten airbags, but also by a host of advanced driver-assistance systems, including Collision Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist and Exit Warning.
