22. 12. 2025 Škoda World

As in every year, Škoda Storyboard provided in-depth coverage of the latest developments from the world of the Škoda brand, explored behind-the-scenes stories and offered useful advice and tips.

Naturally, the most-watched topics included the premieres of new models. Early in the year, the new Škoda Enyaq was unveiled. Another major premiere followed with the Škoda Vision O concept. This study, previewing the future of the popular estate-car segment, captivated audiences worldwide in September. And in the autumn, the sporty Škoda Fabia 130 also arrived.

Students of the Škoda Auto Vocational School prepared their own special project as well — the L&K 130, based on the Superb model. As a car designed for cyclists, it was a must-have at the Tour de France

A great deal of excitement also surrounded the new electric Škoda Elroq. It was unveiled in the high-performance RS version, as the Respectline concept, and in a limited edition featuring a unique matte body finish. One of the model’s first owners shared her experience after the first 10,000 kilometres.

The company archive and the Škoda Museum revealed several little-known stories from the brand’s 130-year history. Did you know, for example, what was written in the official operating permit for the first Laurin & Klement automobile from 1906? Or about the adventurous journey taken by four young men in 1936 beyond the Arctic Circle, or the philanthropic activities of one of the company founders, Václav Klement?

This year, not only Škoda as a brand celebrated an anniversary — so did its legendary competition and racing special, the 130 RS. Now 50 years old, the car succeeded not only on the domestic scene but also against strong Western competition. And speaking of iconic vehicles, we should recall the “Icons Get a Makeover” series, in which Škoda Auto designers drew on the company’s rich heritage to create contemporary interpretations of legendary models such as the Škoda 110 R. Want to sketch your own concept? In a video, Head of Design Oliver Stefani showed how

Valuable advice came in articles about the proper use of air conditioning and the refuelling of HVO fuel. And if you are more technically inclined, you have surely read about the 1.5 TSI evo2 engine, which powers several Škoda models.

As for experiences, the Roads & Places collection of articles undoubtedly provided some new travel inspiration. Škoda vehicles in this series — which demonstrates that the journey itself can be an experience — travelled through various parts of Europe. And several countries were crossed during Miko Marczyk’s impressive 2,831-kilometre drive. What made it unique was that he completed the entire distance on a single tank of fuel.

And the best experience of 2025? It is hard to pick just one. It could be the track-driving sessions with RS performance models, witnessing the Škoda Classic Tour in person, or Škoda Auto’s very first participation in the international Milan Design Week festival

The year 2025 certainly left us with plenty of memories. And we are already looking forward to what the next year will bring.
