Enyaq and Elroq now double as gaming consoles – and that's not all

Škoda’s electric vehicles have recently gained new entertainment applications integrated directly into their infotainment systems. The Spotify app simplifies access to music and podcasts, Škoda Play offers video content, and Air Console effectively transforms the vehicles into gaming consoles.

These three new applications are available to owners of the Škoda Elroq and Enyaq equipped with infotainment software version ME4 or higher, i.e. vehicles produced from late 2024 onwards. Together, they expand the digital entertainment options on board and cover three highly popular areas today: audio, video, and gaming.

The most interactive addition is the gaming platform. Air Console has been available for Škoda vehicles since January 2026 and provides access to a wide range of entertaining games. For the Škoda brand, the iconic game Tetris is available exclusively.

Using the gaming feature is straightforward. Users simply launch the pre-installed application in the infotainment system and select a game. The system then guides them through connecting a mobile phone, which functions as a gamepad. Naturally, the application only works when the vehicle is parked and is designed to help pass the time while waiting in the car.

At launch, approximately 15 game titles were available, with the selection set to expand gradually, further enriching the entertainment offering. In addition to Tetris, users can choose from casual and puzzle games, action and racing titles, as well as sports-themed competitions.

A major advantage of gaming via the vehicle’s infotainment display is the use of the large central screen and the car’s audio system, which allows the passengers to become fully immersed in the experience. The intuitive and simple controls further enhance usability, as gameplay is managed via the user’s smartphone. Depending on the game type and selected mode, multiple phones can be connected simultaneously, enabling multiplayer gaming mode.

As a result, the entire vehicle crew can be entertained. The feature is appealing not only to gaming enthusiasts, but also to parents looking to keep their children engaged while waiting, ideally through a shared activity. The games are user-commands responsive and fast-paced, delivering an experience comparable to that of dedicated gaming consoles.

Music, podcasts and video content

From January 2026, owners of Škoda electric vehicles with software version ME4 or higher can also use the Spotify application directly within the infotainment system. Pairing the app with an existing Spotify account is done easily by scanning a QR code, after which occupants can enjoy music and podcasts from the platform.

The key advantages include a user interface optimised for the vehicle’s infotainment system and the fact that streaming uses the car’s built-in data connection, meaning users pay no additional data charges. The application also supports offline listening.

Also introduced in January is the Škoda Play application, which provides access to video content. It offers an aggregated selection of popular sources, allowing users not only to watch Škoda-branded video channels but also to access news and entertainment content from a wide range of fields and providers. Available content includes programmes and videos from BBC, CNN, Euronews, Red Bull TV, NASA, and other platforms. Once again, the application makes full use of the vehicle’s data connection and, in this case, does not require any external user account.
