What’s behind Epiq design?

The Epiq is the first production Škoda model to fully embody the Modern Solid design language. During the development process, the designers followed several key principles that form the essence of this language. Watch the video and discover what they are.

While electric models such as the Škoda Elroq and Škoda Enyaq already feature certain elements of the Modern Solid design language, the Epiq is the first production vehicle from the brand to be created entirely in line with the current aesthetic philosophy. During its development, the designers followed a set of principles that define this approach.

Modern Solid at a glance

● Simplification. Modern Solid removes unnecessary lines, allowing the essential ones to stand out.
● Precision. Every contour and edge is clearly defined, and every detail must function both aesthetically and technically.
● Functionality. The interior features a clearly structured architecture combining intuitive physical and digital controls. Modern Solid goes hand in hand with the vehicle’s aerodynamics, which are crucial for electric vehicles.
● Authenticity. Warm, human-centric and durable materials, combined with a robust appearance, create a harmonious and long-lasting functional space.

“With the Epiq, we focused on purity, simplicity and purpose. Every line has a reason,” summarises Petr Nevřela, designer at Škoda Auto. As a result, the Epiq is both distinctive and highly functional.
