1. 12. 2020 MODELS OCTAVIA

While the ŠKODA OCTAVIA is currently in its fourth generation, the SCOUT version of ŠKODA’s bestselling model is in its third reincarnation. The new OCTAVIA SCOUT comes with lots of attractive features, a chassis with an additional 15-millimetre clearance, “outdoor” body accessories and practical interior details.

Powerful engines

True to tradition, the OCTAVIA SCOUT has first-class engines under its bonnet. This time round they are mainly two-litre diesel engines, including the tried-and-tested 2.0 TDI. The top-of-the-range version, with a DSG seven-speed automatic transmission, delivers a power output of 147 kW. Depending on the market, the SCOUT is also available with an 85 kW or 110 kW 2.0 TDI engine, and 1.5 TSI and 2.0 TSI engines delivering 110 and 147 kW. In select countries, the OCTAVIA SCOUT model can also be purchased with front-wheel drive for the first time. This is combined with the 1.5 TSI engine with either a six-speed manual transmission or a mild hybrid e-TEC model equipped with a DSG gearbox.

More rugged looks

The most striking changes to the exterior are the distinctive bumpers, mudguard and sill edges, and silver details like the rear-view mirror covers and window trims. The OCTAVIA SCOUT comes with either eighteen-inch Braga wheels or the nineteen-inch Manaslu. And the designers have one secret tip for anyone considering this model: the eye-catching light colour schemes, like blue titan, accentuate the contrast between the body and the new design features.

Simply Clever interior

We can also find new design details in the interior, where the OCTAVIA SCOUT’s traditional focus is on practicality. Besides a number of well-known Simply Clever features, there are some other details that will be appreciated by customers with active lifestyles. One example is the ergonomic front seat with ThermoFlux upholstery that is up to 4.5 times more air-permeable than conventional materials.

Beast of burden

The OCTAVIA SCOUT is also a frontrunner in terms of practicality. The estate version features a 640-litre luggage space. The elevated clearance also makes it easier to handle some types of cargo, and the model’s record length (4,703 mm) offers new possibilities for making use of the interior space. With its towing gear, the 147 kW 2.0 TDI OCTAVIA SCOUT with all-wheel drive can pull a braked trailer weighing up to 2,000 kilograms.
