Future pedestrians may be assisted by robots and smart grilles

A traffic light robot glides out onto a pedestrian crossing. It stops the oncoming cars and shows a green light to pedestrians. A car’s radiator grille shows the pedestrians a similar signal. Sci-fi? No, the not-too-distant future.
