Kodiaq Celebrates 10 Years with Laurin & Klement Version and More Powerful Plug-in Hybrid

The popular Škoda Kodiaq SUV is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its debut. The current second generation is thus gaining new versions: a more powerful plug-in hybrid and an elegant, range-topping Laurin & Klement trim level.

22. 10. 2026 Škoda World

The first-generation Kodiaq was unveiled to the world in September 2016 in Berlin. It is sold in more than 70 markets worldwide, with customers having purchased more than 1.2 million units to date. In a number of markets, including Germany, the United Kingdom and Škoda’s home market of the Czech Republic, it ranks among the best-selling vehicles in its segment.

In 2025, the Kodiaq was the second best-selling model in the Škoda range. Customers will now be able to order it in new versions that further expand its already extensive range of choices.

Significantly More Powerful Plug-in Hybrid

The first change is a technical one. Similar to the Superb, the Kodiaq is now also available with a more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain. It continues to offer an all-electric driving range of more than 100 kilometres (with a battery capacity of 25.7 kWh), while system output has increased from the previous 150 kW to 200 kW.

This increase is made possible by a 1.5 TSI petrol engine with output raised to 130 kW, combined with an electric motor producing 85 kW. Maximum torque has jumped to 400 Nm. The existing 150 kW version remains available within the range, while the new variant serves as a more dynamic alternative. Both versions feature front-wheel drive.

A Popular, Elegant Choice

Škoda is also bringing back the Laurin & Klement trim level to the Kodiaq lineup, which was already available for the first generation. It now provides an elegant alternative for customers interested in the second-generation Kodiaq.

Inside, it is based on the Suite or Suite Cognac interior trim selections, adding exclusive floor mats, aluminium-finish pedals and Laurin & Klement logos on the steering wheel and the front-seat headrests. The front seats are ergonomically designed, AGR-certified and offer an advanced massage function. The equipment also includes three-zone climate control and a 13-inch infotainment display as standard.

On the exterior, the Laurin & Klement trim features body-coloured bumpers and lower door mouldings, with all available paint finishes being metallic. Exclusive 19-inch Lefka alloy wheels and 20-inch Venus and Rila alloy wheels are available. The roof rails are finished in silver, while the D-pillar can be specified either in the UDC finish or optionally in glossy black. Laurin & Klement badges are again present, and advanced LED Matrix headlights are included as standard.
