Škoda Classic Tour Through the Eyes of a Spectator

And there were plenty of them this year. The 2026 edition set a new record with 227 registered participants. The vehicles filled not only the Škoda Museum car park but also the surrounding area. Among the entered cars were many newcomers, with a total of 32 first-time participants, further confirming the growing popularity of both the event itself and classic cars in general.

As in previous years, the route featured a number of interesting spots. Shortly after the start, participants drove through the Škoda Auto production complex. They had an opportunity to take photographs with the new Peaq electric SUV before continuing to a tour of the new M8 production hall, where battery cells for electric vehicles are manufactured. 

The crews once again faced regularity tests, in which the time taken to cover a predetermined distance is measured to an accuracy of hundredths of a second against a prescribed target time. One such test took place right at the start of the day in a loop around the M8 production hall.

The roadbook then guided the crews westwards, including through the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area. The route offered beautiful scenery and passages through picturesque villages. One of them was Nosálov, where time seems to have stood still thanks to its timber-framed two-storey buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. While driving through the spacious village square, the participants tackled another precision test.
