Andreas Dick joined the Volkswagen Group in 1998 having completed his degree in production engineering at the Braunschweig University of Technology. Among other positions, he headed up body production at Volkswagen de Mexico and the plant of FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun before assuming responsibility in 2011 for developing the plant in Foshan, later becoming plant manager there. Between 2016 and 2019, he was plant manager at Volkswagen’s Emden factory in Northern Germany, where he was responsible for launching the Passat and Arteon, among other models. Most recently he held the role of Technical Vice President at FAW-Volkswagen in Changchun since 2019, where his responsibilities included Production, Product Management, Logistics, Planning and Development. During this time, he forged ahead with the digital transformation of the technical divisions, in particular, and was responsible for launching numerous electric vehicles. In his role, he advanced the digital transformation of the technical departments and managed the introduction of numerous electric vehicles, overseeing the production of approximately 1.8 million vehicles a year.
Michael Oeljeklaus has been the Board for Production and Logistics at Škoda Auto since August 2010. During his tenure, the mechanical engineering PhD holder nearly doubled the annual global production volume, reaching up to 1.3 million vehicles. In addition, he led the comprehensive digitisation of the manufacturing process. Thanks to the early and consistent use of innovative technologies from the area of Industry 4.0, the efficiency of process workflows was increased significantly. Alongside his team, he also prepared Škoda’s Czech production sites for the production of battery electric vehicles and MEB battery systems and enabled the start-up of production on schedule. Michael Oeljeklaus joined the Volkswagen Group in 1988. Between 1991 and 1993 he worked at Volkswagen Bordnetze GmbH in Berlin – initially as a production manager and then as a technical director with power of attorney. From 1993, he was responsible for the production start-ups of the SEAT Arosa and the Volkswagen Lupo vehicle projects, among other tasks. In 2005, he moved to SAIC Volkswagen Automotive Co. Ltd in Shanghai as Technical Executive Director. In this role, he was responsible for Product Management, Technical Development, Production Planning, Logistics as well as Production at all SAIC Volkswagen sites in China.
