Alexis Vigneault’s hands tightly grip the metal rod that surrounds a rugged lamp, made by Alexis himself. The grip of the Cirque du Soleil artist is firm and strong – for a good reason: Soon the rope attached to the top of the lamp will propel Alexis at lightning speed towards the ceiling in the blink of an eye.
