Mladá Boleslav, 21 September 2026 – The new Peaq showcases the full breadth of Škoda’s driver assistance technology. The comprehensive suite of advanced systems fitted as standard includes Crossroad Assist, Turn Assist, Collision Avoidance Assist, and Predictive Adaptive Cruise Control. The Peaq can also be specified with optional Travel Assist 3.0 – the most advanced assistance system in the Škoda line-up.

Travel Assist 3.0, Škoda’s most advanced assistance system, includes Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist and is available as an option for the Peaq. Using online swarm data, Travel Assist 3.0 can also adapt the vehicle’s speed to the average speed of other vehicles travelling on the same stretch of road. This means it can select a lower speed where traffic typically moves more slowly, even if the applicable speed limit is higher. Travel Assist 3.0 can also use online data on temporary traffic signs to anticipate changes in speed limits. This allows the vehicle to reduce its speed in advance, making greater use of recuperation and reaching the applicable speed by the time it passes the temporary traffic sign. The latest version also automatically brings the vehicle to a standstill at a red traffic light. The Assist Package also includes Intelligent Park Assist with Trained Parking, Remote Parking, and Reversing Assist. This combination also includes Assisted Lane Change, which supports overtaking on multi-lane roads. At speeds above 90 km/h, the system can automatically perform a lane change when conditions allow. The driver simply activates the indicator, while the system monitors the surrounding traffic and carries out the manoeuvre. A pair of rear radar sensors monitors the area behind the vehicle, while a front radar sensor and multifunction camera monitor the road ahead. Four additional ultrasonic sensors with a range of up to 1.5 metres monitor the area alongside the vehicle.

Several of the systems available in the Peaq have been enhanced. Crossroad Assist, fitted as standard, uses new radar sensors at the corners of the front bumper to detect cars, motorcycles, cyclists, and e-scooters approaching from the side.

Driver Alert with driver monitoring uses a new camera integrated into the rear-view mirror housing to track the driver’s eye movements. Drawing on this data, it continuously assesses the driver’s level of attention and signs of fatigue. Traffic Sign Recognition is enhanced by Traffic Sign Recognition Online, which uses continuously updated online data from vehicles that have travelled the same route. The upgraded optional Top Area View 360° system provides an overview of the vehicle’s surroundings and can generate a transparent 3D representation of the vehicle body on the display, making parking and manoeuvring even easier.
