The first electric ŠKODA built on the MEB platform will be unveiled on 1 September, but exterior design chief Karl Neuhold has already described what fans of eMobility and the Czech brand can look forward to. The self-confident SUV will have a dynamic and emotive design with innovative proportions. At the same time, the ENYAQ iV remains practical and true to the ŠKODA brand’s values.

The dynamic design concept combined with strong lines and flat surfaces is something the ENYAQ iV shares with the current SCALA and OCTAVIA models. But the brand new proportions made possible by the MEB platform are bringing about a new shift in this design language.

With the car occupants’ cabin moved forwards, a distinctive front with the typical ŠKODA radiator grille in an elevated position, gradually descending roof lines, a long wheelbase and large wheels, the car’s proportions are totally new. "Its proportions, however, differ from those of our previous SUV models: the ENYAQ iV has a shorter front end and an elongated roofline,“ Karl Neuhold describes the new concept.

In his opinion, the ENYAQ iV SUV’s design is progressive, balanced and self-confident. It is a harmonious marriage of design, space and clever ideas. That is borne out, for example, by the drag coefficient measured at an impressive 0.27, which is far superior to the majority of SUVs.
