Connectivity: Always up to date ‘over the air’

› Optimised features and new vehicle software options are continuously updated ‘over the air’
› Numerous ŠKODA Connect online services created specifically for electric vehicles
› 5.3-inch Digital Cockpit and ŠKODA’s largest-ever touch display with a screen diagonal of 13 inches

Mladá Boleslav, 5 December 2022 – The ŠKODA ENYAQ RS iV is permanently online and its vehicle software is always up to date thanks to ‘over the air’ updates. The current software version ME 3.2 that the ENYAQ RS iV is delivered with includes several optimisations and new navigation maps. Media such as podcasts and videos can now be accessed on demand, as can additional vehicle functions such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). Many of the ŠKODA Connect mobile online services have been specially developed for electric vehicles, such as controlling the charging process remotely and pre-heating/cooling the interior via the MyŠKODA app. The central display in the ENYAQ RS iV family is the largest in ŠKODA’s current portfolio with a screen diagonal of 13 inches.

The ENYAQ RS iV comes equipped with a 5.3-inch Digital Cockpit, displaying the most important information on speed, driving data, navigation and assistance systems, as well as a free-standing central touch display. With a screen diagonal of 13 inches, it is the largest display in ŠKODA’s current line-up. The various views are customisable and can be operated using the touch function as well as touch slider, multi-touch gestures, gesture control or with the help of the digital voice assistant Laura. A head-up display with augmented reality is available as an option. This projects information in two display fields directly into the driver’s field of vision. The navigation function and Phone Box for inductive smartphone charging come as standard with the ENYAQ RS iV, while the CANTON sound system with twelve speakers and digital equaliser can be ordered as an option.

Controlling functions remotely via ŠKODA Connect mobile online services

The ENYAQ RS iV’s permanent Internet connection via an integrated eSIM enables the use of numerous online-supported functions. The traffic information also draws on real-time data, as does the route planning of the navigation function, which can also display charging stations nearby or along a planned route, as well as free parking spaces in the vicinity. The online connection also extends the voice control’s range of functions. Some mobile online services from ŠKODA Connect have been specially developed for all-electric vehicles. For example, battery charging can be controlled remotely via the MyŠKODA app, and the air conditioning can be switched on before the journey begins. The MyŠKODA app can also remind you to switch on the vehicle heater or recommend a charging cycle if the temperature outside is too low for the battery to be used efficiently.
