Mladá Boleslav, 11. December 2017 – As a long-standing sponsor of cycling, ŠKODA AUTO supported a particularly bold record attempt by four extreme athletes. Their aim was to conquer the highest mountain road in the Himalayas on bicycles in record time. The ŠKODA KAROQ was travelling at the exact speed of the current record holder. The compact SUV assisted the cyclists on the 40-kilometre-long route up the mountain and served as a constant time reference. With a climb involving an average gradient of five per cent, the route is one of the most difficult in the world. You can find out whether one of the professional athletes has broken the record in the video ‘Catching Breath’ on ŠKODA Storyboard website.
