125 years of racing history in one place. Come visit the museum!

The Škoda Museum has joined the celebrations of 125 years of Škoda Motorsport with a special themed exhibition. The display offers much more than just competition cars. Come take a look.

11. 6. 2026 Škoda World

It’s a truly unique opportunity to see racing and rally cars from Mladá Boleslav gathered all in one place. Right at the entrance, visitors are welcomed by the current Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 competition car in this year’s special anniversarylivery. Beyond it awaits a fascinating journey through history.

The museum’s main exhibition area features 15 vehicles. The oldest exhibit on display is the Laurin & Klement FC from 1908, a model that was intended both for the factory team and for sports-minded customers. Visitors attention will also be drawn to the captivating Laurin & Klement RK/M phaeton and the silver beauty of the Škoda Popular Sport Coupé, built for the famous Through The Little Entente Rally in 1937.

The impressive Laurin & Klement RK/M Phaeton was built in 1913. After World War I, it took to the track with a new engine and went on to achieve numerous racing successes. The impressive Laurin & Klement RK/M Phaeton was built in 1913. The exhibition is complemented by extensive information panels telling the stories of the various stages of the brand’s motorsport history. To enhance the visitor experience, glass display cases present a range of rare artefacts, including trophies, flags and other historic items. One of the highlights is the travelling trophy of the Royal Automobile Club awarded for the Prince Henry Tours, which were held between 1908 and 1910.

Following successes in both circuit racing and rallying, the legendary Škoda 130 RS and Škoda 130 LR from the 1970s and 1980s now rest side by side here. The exhibition also includes representatives from the first two decades of the new millennium, such as the Škoda Fabia S2000 and the Škoda Octavia WRC. Circuit and hill climb racing from the turn of the 1960s and 1970s is represented by vehicles including the Škoda 1000 MB 1800 B5, whose dramatically widened bodywork creates exactly the visual impact expected from a true racing machine. Visitors’ attention will also be captured by the Škoda Octavia vRS “Bonneville”, which set a speed record of 365.45 km/h on the American salt flats of the same name in 2011.

Another section of the museum is devoted primarily to trophies and drivers. Here, visitors can take a close look at professional racing equipment, with detailed explanations provided on accompanying information panels. The Drivers’ Gallery presents the stars of their respective eras, from motorsport pioneer Narcis Podsedníček to rally champion Jan Kopecký. The exhibition also addresses the topic of sustainability, which is playing an increasingly important role in motorsport.

With your admission ticket, be sure not to miss the museum repository, which has been transformed into the unique Motorsport Depot. Here, visitors can discover almost twenty additional unique vehicles that are well worth seeing. The 1971 Škoda Buggy autocross special, the 1978 Škoda 130 RS A5 prototype and several single-seater racing cars are all waiting to be explored in detail.

The Škoda Museum in Mladá Boleslav is open daily from Monday to Sunday between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Up-to-date visitor information is always available on the museum’s website. By prior reservation, visitors can also tour the “Sleeping Beauty” repository located in the former smithy building, as well as the “Declassified Concepts” hall, which offers a behind-the-scenes look at automotive development from the 1950s to the present day.
