Electromechanical parking brake

An electromechanical parking brake has replaced the usual “mechanical” handbrake.

The electromechanical parking brake acts on the rear wheels, and the driver can manually activate/deactivate it by pulling/pressing a button located on the central console between the front seats.

Another benefit is the Auto Hold function, which prevents the vehicle from moving when the car is stationary and during uphill starts.

The electromechanical parking brake is available for the ŠKODA SUPERB, ŠKODA KAROQ and ŠKODA KODIAQ.
